The good news is, that my sandblasting set-up works good. The bad news is, that now I'm spending time in the Sandblasting Tent of Death. Blasted the rudder today. Then finished some welding on the rudder attachment point that I had just tacked in.

Painted and primed the rudder. Hoping to get all the tail feathers blasted, primed and painted by the end of next week.
11/12/11 - 3.0 hours - Total Time 1087.0
Built two small ribs, to help transition from the elevator spar to the 3/8" tube. Also did some final welding on the L/H elevator.
11/13/11 - 7.0 hours - Total Time 1094.0
Drilled the holes for the stabilizer cross tube. Drilled all the rivet holes for the fabric attachments on all the tail feathers. Blasted the remaining tail feather parts, and took down the tent of death.
11/15/11 - 2.5 hours - Total Time 1096.5
Primed all the remaining tail feathers.
11/16/11 - 1.5 hours - Total Time 1098.0
Painted all the remaining tail feathers.
11/21/11 - 1.5 hours - Total Time 1099.5
Final welded the trim tube tabs where the stab attaches. Did a little work on the stringer attachments. Added a couple pictures of the finished tail feathers.
11/23/11 - 0.0 hours - Total Time 1099.5
Spent the day installing a new carburetor on my C-182. Had to rebuild the airbox over the last couple weeks as well. Also installed an new Sky Tec Starter. Not project work, but the kind of thing that continues to keep me from working on the the STOL King.
11/25/11 - 1.5 hours - Total Time 1101.0
Worked on the controls today. Removed and retacked the aileron horn. Final welded and drilled the front stick. Working on the aileron rigging is a little complicated, as there a allot of variables.
