My Airframe Construction DVD
11/26/14 - 2.0 hours - Total Time 1244.0
Finally decided that I have reached the 98% solution when it comes to painting the airframe and components.  Every time I look there is another small spot that I missed.  Bought a HF airbrush gun for $8 with the intent of fixing those spots with it.  Christian Strum did this on his supercub.  Started taking down the tent and cleaning up.  So nice to have the open space again!
11/28/14 - 4.0 hours - Total Time 1248.0
Started on the fuel system.  Modified the valve per Back Country Super Cubs process.  Installed the baggage compartment floor and walls, marked and removed and trimmed for clearance.  Installed the left aft line and got it close.  This is starting to get fun!
12/21/14 - 20.0 hours - Total Time 1268.0
I've probably spent about 20 hours over the last few weeks.  Installed the aft fuel lines.  Had to do the forward ones twice for clearance issues.  Trim, flap handle and quadrants installed as are the left pedals.  All this stuff is in with AN hardware.  Nuts and bolts are tedious, as I mocked everything up with cheap screws and bolts.  Also have about 80% of my electrical stuff.  Bought most of it from B&C.
12/23/14 - 4.0 hours - Total Time 1272.0
Started installing the electrical.  Made a mock-up battery and will build the mount when I get it.  Installed the master contactor as well as the main power current limiter.  Using #2 welding cable for the start circuit.  Did some work on my panel layout.  I'm going to use 3 sub panels.  That way I can change things pretty easy if I ever want to.  Also easier to build.
12/26/14 - 3.0 hours - Total Time 1275.0
Worked on the top stringer installation.  A little tedious but fun.  Plus, latest version of my panel and instrumentation.
1/3/15 - 3.0 hours - Total Time 1278.0
Finished the cargo box installation.  Lots of little parts and pieces.  Also mocked up the tie-downs I plan to use.  Modeled after a parachute riser.  Continue to tweak the panel layout.  Very close to what I think I will end up with.
1/20/15 - 5.0 hours - Total Time 1283.0
I've been working on the floor and cargo tray.  I'm going with black carpet.  I'm cutting the pieces to size then edge binding them with my sewing machine.  Some of the floor will be "Just" carpet.  Areas where you step will be aluminum or a combination.  Using my parachute edge binder to finish areas around the fuel lines to make a better look.  Wish I had more room for routing?  Will be buying my seatbelts from Crow enterprises.  Probably the Sand Car model with black anodized hardware.
2/16/15 - 5.0 hours - Total Time 1288.0
Continue work on mocking up the interior.  Carpet and floor coming along.  Seat belts in.  Cargo net installed.  Battery hold down in progress.  Will probably start on the seat  upholstery soon?
3/1/15 - 8.0 hours - Total Time 1296.0
Covered the rear seat.  Used some fabric I had from an earlier project.  Really my first attempt at upholstery.  Also covered top aft bulkhead with some black naugahyde.
3/9/15 - 5.0 hours - Total Time 1301.0
Covered the forward seat.  Same as the rear.
3/23/15 - 2.0 hours - Total Time 1303.0
Made a boot for the aft stick.  Time consuming because of the compound curves.  Velcro's to the carpet and around the stick.
3/29/15 - 4.0 hours - Total Time 1307.0
Made a boot for the fwd stick.  Installed nutplates for the 3 dash sub-panels.  Had to reconfigure the attachments to make this work.
